Experience in Learning Nursing Informatics

    

When Nursing Informatics comes into my mind the first thing that I think is that it is about using a computer but when I learned that it is more than that and how it can help nurses with our job, I realized that it is one of the most important innovations in the last Millenium. Some may see it as a plain subject but for me, it is one of a kind subject because it is only one subject but when you learn it, you can use it into 2 separate fields and when combined can be a powerful learnings that I could have. 

  I know that the ultimate goal of a nurse is to provide optimal health care to our patients and to do that, we need to learn things in the field and some by using the technology we have today. To fully support and provide care, we must monitor our patients accurately and with the help of technology, we can do it easily. 

   

 It is nice knowing that I can apply my learning on computers back when I was in high school to my chosen career which is nursing. Personally, I know how much help computers, the internet, google and such make my jobs easily and because of it, I made up my mind to learn how to use it and also how to repair it, the easiest ones. 

    This segment will focus on what nursing informatics really is, the basic concepts involved in it, the benefits revolving around learning nursing informatics, and how can they apply the acquired knowledge from nursing informatics in their practice. 

I know that I can learn a lot and will learn more about nursing informatics because when you learn nursing informatics, you are learning how to make things better.
